About Dawn News (http://thedawn.com.pk/about-dawn-news/).
Qauid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah founded many newspapers before August 14th, 1947. The Pakistan Times and Dawn were two among many others. Qauid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah promised the Dawn of a new tomorrow, a Dawn of a new country and Dawn of a new century.
This Newspaper is inspired the founding father of Pakistan and revelation of the Shair e Mashriq Alama Iqbal. For many the land of the Indus is a seminal beginning, a preparation for the Gazwa e Hind, for others it an opportunity to create a laboratory to experiment the future of Muslims in South Asia. For others it is the rising of the Sun from the East. In fits and starts, the country of Pakistan has achieved much. For the pessimists, it has not achieved the objective. For the communists, the Qarardad e Maqasid contradicts the sacred doctrine of Karl Marx. For the secularist the appellation Islamic republic is as repugnant to them as Islam.
Backed by enemies, foreign and domestic, there is a minuscule cabal of protagonists who never miss a beat to blame Pakistan first. It is our right o expose this coterie. It is freedom of expression to identify and unmask the Mir Sadiqs and the Mir Jaffars.
We present real news and views to our readers. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. There is nothing like Dawn’s glow to reveal the true nature of those who wish to harm the motherland. We unsheathed the voice of the people and put the rays of the sun on these closeted wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Pakistan is not just a country, it is a vision and “nishan e manzil“. No one can obfuscate that vision. It is written in Piyam e Mashriq and the words of the Quaid e Azam consecrated in the “Qarardad e Maqasid and enshrined in the constitution of 1973. Many believe that the “Qarardad e Maqasid” needs to be more vigorously implemented.
Not once, but three times, Pakistanis got together under the umbrella of a constituent assembly. Three times the nation signed and approved a contract with itself and each of its part. Sovereignty, provincial rights, Religious and political matters were demarcated and clearly defined. The Pakistani consensus was agreed upon in 1956, then again in 1962 and then finally once again in 1973. Few nations have been able to form this sort of unanimous consensus.
All three times, there was a similar conclusion–Pakistan was to be Islamic, Non-theocratic and Democratic. Any other aspersion on Pakistan is untrue and part of a propaganda to refute facts. The entire spectrum of Pakistan from the communists and socialists to centrists to the extreme religious parties created a consensus on the vision of Pakistan and the role of religiosity in the country.
Pakistan was created as a result of the vision portrayed by Alama Iqbal who saw the rise of the Crescent and Star as a seminal moment in the history of the world and chronology of South Asia. “The Dawn” is part of that vision.
This is our Dawn.

Today we Hindus watch with glee Pakistan imploding.Sixty years ago the traitor Jinnah destroyed the unity and integrity of our motherland by claiming that muslims need a separate homeland. You muslims should go back to Arabia that is where you belong . You are decendents of women raped by maurading medieval Islamic Jehadis
The Pakistanis did in 1956, then again in 1962 and then finally once again in 1973. All three times, there was a similar conclusion–Pakistan was to be Islamic, Non-theocratic and democratic.
– Hmm, what’s about 1971?
Not sure what you are referring to, but there was no constitution in 1971
Pakistan is not imploding. To become a nation we will sacrifice what we hold most sacred and dear. Then we shall rise and reach our zenith with all the force which we can possibly muster. Just you watch.
Actually it’s quite funny that all these fifth-columnists enemies of Pakistan (bar two) all look Hindu as well. You know jalay-huay and badsoorat outside as well as inside.
Asma Jahangir is a spitting image of that hag Indira Gandhi, and Paracha (name sounds Hindu too) and Ayaz Amir look like Hitler-wannabe Modi.
